AMSTELVEEN, April 10th, 2008 - Canon Europe, world leader in digital imaging technology, has today launched the imagePROGRAF LP17 and the imagePROGRAF LP24, which are 17”/A2 (LP17) and 24”/A1 (LP24) poster printers for general use. Both printers will allow the corporate, education, retail and leisure sectors to create and print a range of posters including promotional announcements, wall charts and organisational charts, in full, on one sheet of paper.

For those who think that poster printing is for specialists only, the LP17 and LP24 devices are easy to use, which means that everybody can now have professional–looking posters at the touch of a button, avoiding having to print and stick together multiple A4 or A3 documents.

In order to achieve professional quality output, both printers come with PosterArtist, an easy-to-use software package, which is compatible with Microsoft applications. The software enables customers to create posters and signage without expert knowledge, by guiding users through the process of designing and printing posters in five easy steps. As a result, the solid image consistency and high text reproduction give posters produced on the imagePROGRAF LP17 and LP24 the look and feel of Professional Print output.

The imagePROGRAF LP17 and LP24 provide borderless printing and an economy printing mode, which helps to reduce print costs. A large LCD screen and quieter operation ensure ease of use and a comfortable working environment. They also produce reliable, high-quality colour prints at high speeds, with the LP17 printing A2 documents in 20 seconds, and the LP24 outputting A1 in 33 seconds, and both at a resolution of 1200 dpi. For those wanting to produce posters with an artistic finish both devices can use a range of media suitable for your needs.
