AMSTELVEEN, 03 February, 2009 - Canon Europe, world leader in digital imaging technology, has today announced that it has signed a pan-European agreement with I.R.I.S., specialists in Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR), Electronic Document Management (EDM), Content and Process Management (CPM).

The strategic partnership will enable Canon to broaden its customer reach by reselling I.R.I.S.’ complete business solutions range, adding to its existing document capture and management offering. I.R.I.S. offers an automated document and information capture solution that can be fully integrated with Canon’s existing document management portfolio, which includes eCopy, ADOS and NT-ware. Canon will focus on I.R.I.S.’ flagship products, IRISPowerscanTM and IRISPdfTM Server to extend its scanning proposition and to further support its customers’ document management needs. The solutions enable users to scan, structure, sort, index and convert all documents into fully searchable text and PDF files, streamlining the document capture process.
