AMSTELVEEN, April 6th, 2009 - Canon Europe, the world leader in digital imaging technology, has today announced the launch of the Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 220e and 220eP, its new eCopy-enabled network document scanners for businesses of all sizes in the general office market.

  • The new Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 220e and 220eP integrate document management into current business systems with eCopy document imaging software

  • The ScanFront 220e and 220eP’s familiar eCopy platform enables companies to manage electronic documents and information more easily and securely

The ScanFront 220e and 220eP make it easier than ever for businesses to introduce a document management solution that can streamline business processes and improve access to information. Through heightened productivity in office tasks, companies will cut their costs and save money.

The ScanFront 220e and 220eP integrate eCopy’s award winning ShareScan software, one of the leading document imaging solutions in the paper capture and distribution office market. eCopy ShareScan enables seamless integration and connection with many critical business applications and services including document management, workflow and database systems, as well as email and fax servers.

Sean Suematsu, European Document Scanning Solutions Director, Canon Europe, explains: “Productivity leads to profitability. The ScanFront 220e and 220eP ensure that all departments within a business can benefit from the fast and efficient scanning, filing and sharing of documents so that costs are kept to an absolute minimum.”

The integration of eCopy into the ScanFront 220e and 220eP is the latest development in a continuation of the longstanding business partnership between Canon and eCopy.

Sean Suematsu continues, “The network scanner market is tipped to be the fastest growing scanner segment in the next few years. Building on the success of the ScanFront 220/220P, the combination of eCopy’s easy-to-use and feature-rich software with Canon’s high quality and precise ScanFront devices represent an effective document capture and distribution solution for the workgroup and general office markets.”

The Canon imageFORMULA ScanFront 220e and 220eP are compact, easy-to-use and secure network scanners that provide high-quality and secure scanning of up to 24 pages-per-minute.
