All of the new machines offer XGA resolution (except the LV-8225, which features native WXGA resolution) to provide sharp image detail and bright clear projections in classrooms, boardrooms and meeting rooms. Canon’s wide-angle 1.2x zoom projection lens and powerful 10W speaker are fitted as standard across the range. Energy efficient, the devices have an extended lamp life of up to 6000 hours, filters that boast a service life of up to 5500 hours and a power consumption of less than 1W in standby mode[1]. All of the models are also suitable for quiet environments due to their low noise, which is just 29dBA when set to ‘Eco Mode’. The devices offer a range of benefits to meet varying business needs: LV-8225: A widescreen projector with WXGA resolution (1280 x 800 pixels), offering 2500 lumens and up to 6000 hours lamp life; ideal for business and educational environments. LV-7490: With XGA resolution and 4000 lumens, the LV-7490 is the brightest projector in the range. The high brightness makes this model suitable for larger venues, or those with greater levels of ambient light. LV-7390: The LV-7390 combines a bright 3000 lumens output with XGA resolution and networking capability, making it ideal for more demanding environments such as large meeting rooms. LV-7295: The LV-7295 is ideal for corporate and mobile applications. Whether in the office or on the road in sales meetings, this device enables bright image quality at 2600 lumens output with versatile XGA resolution. LV-7290: The LV-7290 is the entry level model, yet still offers strong performance with a respectable 2200 lumens alongside reduced running costs.
Julian Rutland, Canon’s Visual Communication Product and Solutions Director says: “At Canon, we draw on our strong heritage in lens design and manufacturing to develop powerful image projection technology. We are pleased to update our LV range to offer businesses of all sizes and budgets a range of cost-effective options with no compromise on quality.” Four of the models in Canon’s latest LV range[2] will be available across Europe from April 2011, with the LV-7490 available from May.
