Five scan-to copy/file/email and print solutions that combine speed and precision with exceptional versatility Scans images up to 40 inches wide 600dpi resolution and CIS scanning technology produce flawless line definition and accuracy
The imagePROGRAF MFP systems provide a fast, precise, effective and affordable system for copying, archiving and distributing technical documents such as maps, drawings, renderings, blueprints, facility management plans and construction site maps. They are ideally suited to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), Computer-aided Design (CAD), Mechanical CAD (MCAD), Electronic CAD (ECAD), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), manufacturing, government, utilities and facilities management markets, as well as reprographic and print-for-pay environments. Featuring true 600dpi optical resolution and CIS scanning technology, the imagePROGRAF MFP imaging systems make it possible for the user to scan large artwork like maps and drawings accurately and with flawless line definition. MFP software enables simple operation, allowing the user to scan or copy with just one click. Users can scan documents to copy, to print, to file (PDF, JPEG and TIFF) or to email, and the intuitive touch-screen interface enables users to easily preview scans or crop images. The systems also enable batch scanning, and face-up paper feeding with automatic size detection making the systems even easier to operate. This combination of features makes the systems ideal for environments such as architectural practices, where sketches and plans will be able to be drawn by hand and then effortlessly scanned and emailed. The systems incorporate a colour scanner with a 40 inch image scan width, making it possible to scan documents in sizes including A0, D and architectural E-size, as well as having the versatility to scan any image up to 40 inches wide by any length. The systems can scan at speeds of up to 10 inches per second in monochrome, making them equally useful when speed is vital. In addition to the scanner, each system includes a 17 inch touch screen monitor, MFP scanning software, a reprographics stand and the choice of one of five imagePROGRAF large format printers – the 36 inch iPF710,
iPF750
or iPF755,
or the 44 inch iPF815
or iPF825.
The systems are highly versatile, having been designed to suit the way that their users work. Configured with the iPF710 or iPF750, the MFP solution is a compact unit ideal for a small or medium workgroup in an office environment, while a configuration with the iPF755 is well suited for reprographic and print-for-pay environments with high usage and a large number of users. When configured with the iPF815 and iPF825, the MFP solution is ideal for high volume printing, with the iPF825 featuring a dual media roll that supports even greater productivity and flexibility by enabling the printer to hold two rolls of the same paper or two rolls of different media. The iPF750, iPF755, iPF815 and iPF825 feature a built-in Economy Print Mode ideal for quick check plots and proofs that can help to lower the overall cost of production and reduce ink consumption, making the systems configured with these models ideal for high productivity environments where a variety of output sizes are required. “More versatility is needed in today’s technical documents market as file sizes continue to grow, images become increasingly complex and more and more output is needed in detailed, enriched colour,” comments Yuichi Miyano, Director of Large Format Solutions, Canon Europe. The new imagePROGRAF MFP systems meet this need for versatility, enabling customers to tailor the configuration of their solution according to the needs of their environment, while continuing to offer the fastest print speeds, greatest accuracy and richest features available in the market.” The imagePROGRAF MFP systems are being launched on the Canon Middle East stand (Stand E340 & E508) at Gulf Print & Pack, at which Canon and Océ are jointly showcasing their complete range of products and solutions for both the production and large format printing systems available to the professional printing market. This stand is Canon’s largest ever presence at the show, demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to the professional print market in the Middle East and North Africa region. The five imagePROGRAF MFP configurations will be available across Europe from 1st April 2011.
