London, UK, 1st September 2010 – Canon today launches its brightest projector ever, reinforcing its commitment to the professional AV market. The 7000 lumen LV-7590 displays images of up to 813 x 610cm (400” diagonal), making it perfect for permanent installation in large venues. Details are crisp and colours vivid, thanks to the combination of an improved 1800:1 contrast ratio and a new Colour Control Device. Supplied without lens, the LV-7590 is compatible with a range of five optional interchangeable lenses, making it highly versatile and ideal for both front and rear projection in any environment.

Available from early September 2010, the LV-7590
replaces the existing LV-7585 and offers the highest brightness of any Canon projector to date. The ubiquitous native XGA resolution is supported by an increased brightness of 7000 lumens and a high contrast ratio of 1800:1, while the projector also features motorised horizontal and vertical lens shift, allowing the projected images to be positioned without the compromises associated with keystone correction. Powered zoom and focus are also included - and in line with Canon’s stringent image quality standards, the range of features offered by the LV-7590 has been specifically designed to ensure the best possible viewing experience for audiences in large venues.
Colours are richer thanks to the use of the new Colour Control Device, which enhances the traditional RGB display panel system used in LCD projectors by independently controlling the path of yellow light. The projector also supports 4:3, 16:9 and custom aspect ratio settings for specialised imaging, making it the perfect solution for professional conference facilities and other venues where a wide range of content may be shown.
Outstandingly versatile – optimised for any space
The LV-7590 has been designed to be flexible, with the possibility of installation in a wide range of different scenarios. Supplied as ‘body only’, installers can select from Canon’s range of five top-quality interchangeable projection lenses. For the majority of installations, the new low-cost LV-IL05 standard 1.3x zoom lens will be perfect. Other options in the range include Ultra-Wide Angle, Wide Angle Zoom, Long Focus Zoom and Ultra-Long Focus Zoom lenses . Custom installers will then be able to tailor the projector to the space and required image size, with no compromise on image quality. Thanks to its flexible design and a full range of connectivity options, the LV-7590 can even be used for more unusual installations, such as projecting vertically downwards onto the floor.
When not in use, a mechanical shutter blocks the lens, preventing any residual light from seeping into the room. An unobtrusive, sleek design also allows the LV-7590 to complement the appearance of even the most modern conference facilities. The integrated auto-cleaning air filter has a service life of up to 10,000 hours, significantly reducing the projector’s maintenance requirements, allowing it to work more effectively for longer.
Enhanced connectivity
Designed to be easily accessible and to integrate into wider AV systems already in place, the LV-7590 also features a range of multimedia ports, including audio in/out connectivity. The addition of two audio input jacks and one audio output allows the projector to be connected to an external sound system, offering control of the audio volume and source via the projector.
A new Network Imager enhances the LV-7590’s connectivity options further still. The LV-NI03 allows the projector to be controlled remotely from a networked PC, enabling a presentation to be sent directly to the projector via the network.
