Canon further enhances B2B Partner Programme with introduction of Large Format Print and Network Camera Security certifications
Since its launch in February, over 90% of Partners have become certified in the programme
Initial feedback highlights the programme’s recognition of long-term partnerships as key to its success
Since its launch in February 2011, Canon’s pan-European Partner Programme has been rolled out in 17 markets across Europe with over 90% of tier 1 B2B resellers certified. The success, according to feedback from Partners, is due to the support and development provided in areas of competency – particularly solutions – which supports Partners to drive business growth. The certifications provide independent recognition of the Partners’ skills to end-users.
Mike Te Vaanholt, Sales Manager at Wink, an office supplies Partner of Canon Netherlands, comments: “The quality of Canon products is the foundation of our business, and the high-level of training and support that the Partner Programme offers gives us a real edge over our competitors.”
Due to the demand from Partners for further specialised certifications, Canon will now offer LFP and NCS certifications. The new LFP certification recognises all of Canon’s printers within this area, and the key competencies within the Partner’s business to ensure the end-user has the confidence, specialist knowledge and expertise to support the product. In order to be certified, Partners must meet the separate sales and support critera.
Canon will also offer a specialist NCS certification, a completely new area for Canon Partners. It recognises the increasing importance of the niche video surveillance market, and will enable Partners to demonstrate their expertise and the on-going support they can provide to end-users.
This enhancement will enable Partners to develop their skills and expand into new and growing areas. By extending the programme, Canon aims to increase the value it brings to its already strong relationships with Partners.
“Canon is committed to helping Partners maximise their offering, as the success of our pan-European Partner Programme demonstrates,” comments Alex Thurgood, European Channel Marketing Manager at Canon Europe. “Partners have indicated they like the simplicity of the accreditation process and appreciate the recognition of a long-term partnership the programme provides.
“We’re continually striving to improve what we offer our Partners and by adding new certifications, we aim to support Partners in developing their business through adding more products, solutions and services, whatever their market and take advantage of the comprehensive and unique Canon imaging portfolio. That enables them to continue to differentiate themselves from competitors within the market.”
