Canon delivers a smart software suite for intelligent photo and web printing from your PIXMA

LONDON, UK, 19th August 2009: Canon today announced that its PIXMA All-In-One and Photo Printer ranges come bundled with a smart software suite that includes Easy-PhotoPrint EX and Easy-WebPrint EX – two applications that make it easy to produce great-looking documents and photos. Canon’s PIXMA All-In-Ones are also bundled with MP Navigator EX – a program that enables anyone to easily scan, copy and file a wide variety of documents.

Easy-PhotoPrint EX
As well offering print options such as paper type, selection and size, Easy-PhotoPrint EX delivers plenty of creative options to PIXMA owners, including the ability to produce borderless photos, albums, calendars and even photo stickers. Mons and Hagen owners can also use the application to print directly onto inkjet-compatible CD-R and DVD media.

The latest version of Easy-PhotoPrint EX includes Auto Photo Fix II, which offers intelligent correction of underexposed images, enabling anyone to produce great-looking results from digital photos that have been taken either in low-light or without adequate flash illumination.

Auto Photo Fix II also includes automatic red-eye correction. Other Easy-PhotoPrint EX functions that can help users get the best results from their digital photos and other printable documents include:

• Face sharpener
• Digital face smoothing
• Blemish remover

Easy-WebPrint EX
New to PIXMA is Easy-WebPrint EX, intuitive, powerful software from Canon that makes it simple to select and print text, images and content in internet web pages.

Easy-WebPrint EX includes Auto-Clip, which automatically detects individual text, and images in a web page before enabling users to print. Easy-WebPrint EX also allows users to collect, combine and edit web content from many different web pages; for example, users could take a description of a location from one web page, and combine it with a map from another.

The intelligent clip handling in Easy-WebPrint EX gives users complete control over the way information gleaned from the internet is selected and presented. Users do not need to print internet advertisements, navigation and other web page elements, unless required. Additional Reduce-Page-To-Print, Multi-Column Printing and Auto-Duplex printing options help save paper, waste and energy.  Users can also save Easy-WebPrint EX clips as PDFs for printing later.
