The Canon Europa N.V. management board has decided to transfer strategic roles, which affects 226 people currently based at Canon Europa N.V. offices in Amstelveen to London, in order to develop a single strategic headquarters for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, to create a more effective organisation to support Canon’s customers. The transfer of affected roles will take place in a phased programme over the coming months.
Canon continues to be a committed employer in The Netherlands. Around 500 employees, in roles such as supply chain and IT, will continue to be based at Canon Europa N.V. in Amstelveen, which remains a key part of business operations.
Canon Nederland N.V., Canon’s local sales and marketing company for The Netherlands, based in Hoofddorp, employing 451 people, is not affected by this announcement. Media enquiries, please contact:
