In this role, Gould will be responsible for Canon’s commercial approach to the professional photofinishing market across Europe, heading up the company’s new Production Photo Printing department.
The formation of this new department is in line with the company’s stated growth strategies of expanding business operations through diversification and entering new business domains. Gould brings with him more than 25 years’ experience in the photo industry. Prior to joining Canon Europe, he held various senior management positions in the photofinishing industry, including management roles at AGFA, UK retailer Dixon Stores Group, and international diversified technology company 3M. Rainer Fuehres, Head of Consumer Imaging Group, Canon Europe, says: “Both Chris’s appointment and the establishment of our new Production Photo Printing department demonstrate Canon’s commitment to the professional imaging market, as well as the company’s unique ability to draw on our expertise in both our photo imaging and printing.” “Canon’s excellent photographic and printing heritage, together with the company’s passion for the image, makes bringing the two together in this new department an exciting and logical next step,” says Chris Gould, Director of Production Photo Printing, Canon Europe. “I am looking forward to developing Canon’s European proposition for the production photo printing market, where there are significant growth opportunities.”
