What is Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is the popular name for IEEE 802.11, a set of international communication standards that allow you to wirelessly connect computers, printers and other electronic devices.

The Digital IXUS WIRELESS uses IEEE 802.11b, a widely used Wi-Fi communication standard, to provide an effective range of 30 metres.
Wi-Fi does not require a line of sight for communication, so you can print and transfer your images from anywhere within range – from the dining table, the living room or even the garden.

Wi-Fi security
The secure communication system used by the Digital IXUS WIRELESS prevents eavesdropping or interception of wireless transmissions. In addition to standard WEP, the Digital IXUS WIRELESS employs WPA-PSK with TKIP/AES encryption for enhanced data security.
