The 14x Optical Zoom MVX45i is a dream to handle and a joy to use. Nestling within the compact body is a powerful 2.2 Megapixel sensor to capture every detail of every scene you shoot.

Rock steady
Not only does the MVX45i’s Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) keep video footage calm and steady, it also ensures blur free photos. Unlike other forms of stabilization, it works with Wide Screen 16:9 Mode and keeps your image steady all the way up to the zoom lens’ highest optical magnification.

Two in one
The MVX45i has photo features normally found only in specialist digital cameras. Dual path DIGIC DV processing lets you take photos and record video simultaneously. Auto bracketing and multi-metering modes give perfect exposures in diverse conditions and a built-in flash increases lighting options. An incredible 60 frames at 5fps can be shot in a single burst and a Photo Review function lets you check your shot for as long as you need before clearing the screen. 15 modes are available to help you get the best shot in any circumstance.

Precision optics
Offering superb image clarity, the 14x zoom lens builds on 60 years of Canon experience. An aspheric lens element ensures corner to corner clarity, and Super Spectra lens coatings suppress ghosting and flare.

Emotional Colours
An RGB Primary Color Filter enhances tonal accuracy and colour definition. Geared towards how we humans see, Canon’s DIGIC DV processor then translates optical data into satisfying, lifelike imagery. Skin tones are warm and natural, while colours such as the blues of a sky or the greens of grass are rich and vibrant.

Anytime, anywhere
When outdoors, a backlight button makes the 2.5” LCD extra visible. An on-board Mini Video Light lets you record even when it’s pitch black. For full creative control, attach an external microphone, flash units or extra lights via the Advanced Accessory Shoe.

Razor sharp
For shooting photos the same 9-point auto focusing found in Canon’s high-end digital still cameras keeps your image sharp – even with off-centre subjects. For total control there’s also a Manual Focus Ring.

Easy prints
To create album quality prints, simply connect your camcorder to any PictBridge compatible printer and hit the Print/Share button – it’s that easy. And with the USB 2.0 Hi-Speed link, it’s also super fast.
