Your Canon camcorder is not only a high quality video tool; it’s also a fully featured digital stills camera that stores High Resolution digital photographs to SD or ultra-compact Mini SD card.

Advanced photo features include simultaneous video and photo capture thanks to DIGIC DV, which provides split paths for the optimal processing of each type of image. You’ll never have to compromise and face the hard decision of whether to shoot a movie or take a photo instead: with DIGIC DV you can do both at the same time.

9-point AiAF (Auto Intelligent Auto Focus) allows you to select which area of the frame you want to be the point of focus, to keep even off-centre subjects clear and sharp.

With Auto Exposure Bracketing, a single click of the photo capture button automatically shoots three different exposures of the same image – a ‘normal’ exposure, one underexposed, and one overexposed – ensuring that you’ll always get the shot you want.

The Continuous Shooting feature acts just like the motor drive of a stills camera: multiple frames are captured by holding down the button, perfect for taking pictures of fast moving subjects, such as a car driving by.
