Extended zooms bring distant subjects right up close, making them ideal for sports or wildlife photography. They also allow you to take candid portrait shots from a discreet distance.

Zoom even further
In addition to the zoom capability of the lens, current models help you get even closer with a Digital Tele-Converter. At a certain point digital zoom can compromise the quality of you image, but with Safety Zoom, you control the image quality. Depending on your desired resolution, the camera will warn you when further zooming would harm image quality, giving you the option to stop, or continue zooming.
