Super zoom
The powerful 20x wide-angle (28mm, f/2.8) optical zoom provides outstanding telephoto reach and composition flexibility. With Ultrasonic Motor (USM) and Voice Coil Motor (VCM), zooming is fast, accurate and near-silent, while Canon’s renowned optical Image Stabilizer technology counteracts camera shake.

DIGIC 4

Face Detection Technology
Great people shots – and movies – are made easy with the latest Face Detection AF/AE/FE/WB technology, which even detects distant or partially-visible faces. Face Select & Track optimises settings for a chosen person, while FaceSelf-Timer waits for you to enter the frame for great self-portraits or group shots.

Anti-blur
The PowerShot SX10 IS combats potential blur with High ISO Auto and Motion Detection Technology, which ascertains movement of both camera and subject to set the optimum ISO, whatever the shooting situation. Servo AF tracks moving subjects to ensure they remain in focus.

Creative control
Alongside a range of modes to make shooting tricky situations easier, the PowerShot SX10 IS also offers full manual mode to give you complete creative control.

Large vari-angle LCD
The 2.5" high-resolution vari-angle LCD makes framing and playback equally easy. Night Display mode enhances screen visibility in low light.

Easy access
An easy-to-use Multi Control Dial provides fast, convenient and accurate access to menu items, functions and images. Customise the menu system with My Menu for rapid access to the functions you use most.

Optimum contrast
Working in both shooting and playback, i-Contrast boosts brightness in dark areas. The result is improved contrast with detail retained in tricky lighting conditions.

Movies with stereo sound
Create long, high quality 30fps VGA movie clips with CD quality stereo sound. Accurate auto focus and exposure is maintained even with moving subjects.

Speedlite compatible
For extended shooting options and better light coverage, the PowerShot SX10 IS is compatible with Canon’s EX Speedlite flash range.
