Tilt and shift

When it comes to depth of field and perspective, tilt-and-shift lenses offer photographers an extraordinary degree of control. Shift movements can be used to look up or down without tilting the camera, eliminating the ‘converging verticals’ effect that can spoil architecture images. Tilt movements rotate the plane of focus to either extend or shorten depth of field in landscape or still-life photography.
