• At the end of 2008 Canon had collected over 212,000 tons of cartridges.
• For every 100,000 used cartridges we recycle, we can save:
  9599 kilograms of aluminium
  40 tonnes of plastic,
  which is equivalent to 1.000.000 litres of oil.
• Carbon-based gas is seen as a major cause of global warming. The Canon cartridge recycling programme helps reduce carbon emissions as well as conserving resources and reducing waste.
• Canon's environmental management systems have earned official accreditation, including ISO certification, at more than 40 production facilities world-wide.
• With the collection of our toner cartridges Canon contributes to WWF's global 'Fresh Water Programme'.
