You can minimise the red-eye effect by following the steps below:

  1. If your camera has this option, set the Red-Eye Reduction mode to ON.
  2. Use a wide zoom position as much as possible.
  3. Move as close as possible to the subject.
  4. When the Red-Eye Reduction lamp is ON, have the subject look at the lamp.
  5. If possible, make the ambient light brighter.
