FAQ: How can I manage my EF lens?

Helpful Information:

I want to take macro photographs with my old bellows. When I take a picture, the diaphragm doesn't work. Can I apply tension to the contacts? What is the range of voltage? What are the contacts?

Solution:


It is not possible to apply tension to the contacts. With the EF mount, the lens is managed by a microprocessor that receives the digital signals from the EOS's body.
