FAQ: How do I change the cartridge in my SmartBase™ machine ?

MODELS: SmartBase™ PC1210D / PC1230D /PC1270D

To change the cartridge, please follow the instructions listed below:

  1. Release and slide the copyboard (top of the machine) to expose the printer cover; this can be done by lifting the release tab indicated with the picture of a hand on the left hand side of the machine.
  2. Open the printer cover and remove the old cartridge using the handle.
  3. Snap the plastic tab on the right hand side of the new cartridge.
  4. Pull this tab to remove the tape.
  5. Install the new cartridge, aligning the tabs on the side with the 'runners'.
  6. Do not leave the cartridge exposed to light as this can damage the drum.
  7. The old cartridge can be sent for recycling using the box and the label included in the recycling leaflet.
