Phenomenon

After upgrading the OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, the printer driver for XP is deleted.
Even after the printer driver for XP is deleted, a folder of the driver for XP may be left on the Start menu.

Countermeasure

Install the printer driver for Windows Vista.
If a folder of the driver for XP is left on the Start menu, drag and drop the folder into the "Recycle Bin".

Before upgrading the OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, the printer driver for XP must be uninstalled.
