‘NEW’Canon Received 2009 SMPTE Journal Certificate of Merit on ‘Auto-Focus System for HDTV Field Lenses’

We are proud to announce that the 2009 SMPTE Journal Certificate of Merit was awarded to "Auto-Focus System for HDTV Field Lenses"

 This was written by Laurence J. Thorpe (Canon U.S.A. National Marketing Executive), Yasuyuki Tomita (Canon Inc. Manager of Broadcast Equipment Development Center, Japan), and Ken Ito (Canon U.S.A. Senior Director/GM of Broadcast & Communication Division).  The SMPTE, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, is the leading technical society for the motion image industry, founded in 1916, and this award is given for the high rated paper appearing in the journal in the preceding calendar year.
