‘NEW’Canon Lenses Record The Swimming Records

World Swimming Championship 2009 in Rome shot 90% on Canon OB Lenses!!

World Swimming Championship in Rome

The World Swimming Championship 2009 in Rome was a record-breaking triumph.  175 participating countries.  2500 athletes.  43 world records broken.  All broadcast perfectly worldwide.

RAI-Radio Televisione Italiana - as host broadcaster, enjoyed the congratulations of the organizers and of international broadcasters for their coverage of the event, with more than one hundred hours of live transmissions in HD 1080/50i.

Canon Broadcast also led the field with a record - of providing more than 90% of the lenses used by the main HD OB Vans shooting the games.

In particular RAI, on the two new OB Units Milano 2 and Roma 4, used 26 cameras, all exclusively with Canon HD lenses.

And there were several other broadcasters and production companies using exclusively Canon HD Lenses.  They include:

-Frame SpA, with 12 cameras, all with Canon lenses (Canon XJ 100x stabilized, XJ72x, HJ 11x)

-Vision High Definition TV London, for NBC, with Canon XJ86x and  HJ22x

-Asahi TV Japan, with 2 Canon XJ27x and 2 HJ40xEFP HD stabilized

-Camera Corps, who chose Canon for several of their special remote cameras

Trans Audio Video supported the event not only as distributor of Canon in Italy, but also with a series of solutions for underwater shots, with camera supports and matte boxes, and with polarizers for light reflections at night.

So for Canon and Trans Audio Video, World Swimming Championship 2009 in Rome set yet another record of reliability: once again, all the lenses and equipment used in the field performed perfectly - without any assistance!
