BU-51H High Definition for indoor use

BU-50H HD PTZ indoor camera An affordable system giving high quality remote images

As the worldwide transition to HDTV (high definition television) continues to accelerate, broadcasters, cable networks and other video content creators are demanding cost-effective Cameras, Lenses and Pan-Tilt-Zoom Heads to produce news and other programming in this new format.

Making the best use of Canon's unique technology and know-how of high quality pan-tilt systems and by incorporating Canon's sophisticated HD technology, Canon has responded to the worldwide need by incorporating all our advanced technology into one cost-effective HDTV Indoor Pan-Tilt System, the BU-51H. The BU-51H features a 1/3 inch 3 CCD HD camera with an optical 20x zoom ratio HD lens. The BU-51H also offers exceptional controllability by incorporating features such as an Auto Focus Function and a sophisticated Image Stabilizer, together with a smooth and elegant pan-tilt motion; they greatly expand the applications of the system.

Main Features

All-In-One Body and High Affordability
The BU-51H is a highly versatile turnkey HD lens-camera system intended to address a wide range of applications. It features an indoor pan/tilt head, a built-in 20X zoom lens, and a 3 CCD HD video camera all housed in an elegant design. The system offers extensive control of the pan-tilt head, lens operational functions, and key video adjustments of the camera. The system was specifically designed to achieve an excellent HD cost-performance optimization.

Non-Proprietary Protocol
The BU-51H control protocol is non-proprietary and is open to public. This full access will facilitate any third-party provider, system integrator, or end-user’s development of customized control systems.

High quality HDTV/SDTV video images
The BU-51H camera uses three 1/3-inch CCDs each having 1,670,000 pixels. This ensures exceptional video quality for broadcasting, event coverage and high quality surveillance, among others.

High Optical Performance and Image Stabilization
The 3 CCD HD camera incorporates a 20 times optical zoom HD lens (4.5 - 90mm) with an Auto Focus Function and an optical Image Stabilizing System, providing exceptional HD video images with enhanced operational flexibilities.

Multiple Interfaces
The BU-51H can output an uncompressed HD-SDI (or SD-SDI) signal. Each SD (VBS) signal and HD-SDI signal can be output simultaneously, enabling the HD-SDI signal to be recorded while the the SD signal is used for monitoring. In addition, the BU-51H features a GENLOCK function for video system synchronization.

Extremely quiet
The BU-51H is an extremely quiet P/T system featuring a maximum noise level of NC30. Thus it is well suited for operation in a very quiet environment such as a conference, lecture, or a classical concert.

Night Mode
The BU-51H now include a newly designed "night mode." The shutter speed is slowed down to a minimum of 1/3 (50i, 25F), allowing frame accumulation that elevates camera sensitivity.
