This means that Canon continues to lead the overall market with a 16.3 per cent share. According to the research, Canon leads the black-and-white segment with a 16.1 per cent market share, by brand. While a 23 per cent growth in sales from 2006 has seen Canon also retain its lead in the colour plus colour capable segment with 16.7 per cent share. Canon’s strong sales performance in 2007 has placed it ahead of any other brand in both categories. Its impressive market performance was led by sales of the iRC2880i , Canon’s flagship colour MFP, which was not only the top selling device in the colour plus colour capable segment, but was also the overall market’s leading MFP with more than 29,000 units sold in 2007.
