Within the new range, Canon is launching two new imageRUNNER series (the imageRUNNER 1100 and imageRUNNER 1700) as well as four new i-SENSYS series (LBP7600, MF5900, MF8000 and MF8300) – broadening Canon’s offering within the A4 market and providing customers with a portfolio of devices to meet the varied needs of their business, whatever the size.
Canon’s new A4 range enables customers to implement a print fleet that seamlessly integrates with existing office IT and print infrastructure, as part of a balanced deployment. The new imageRUNNER devices are compatible with uniFLOW – the industry’s only single platform to manage all print and scanning processes – and in an industry first, Canon introduces a single function laser printer (LBP7680Cx) which integrates fully with uniFLOW, thanks to Canon’s embedded MEAP platform.
Paul Rowntree, European Product Marketing Director, Canon Europe says, “The A4 black-and-white MFD market grew 12 per cent during Q1 2011 compared to the same period last year, and as such we’ve seen increasing demand from our customers for both A4 black-and-white and colour devices. We’re not only expanding our portfolio offering but providing new and enhanced features to benefit businesses of all sizes, from home offices through to organisations looking for an integrated print fleet where new devices work seamlessly with existing hardware.”
Canon imageRUNNER 1700 and 1100 series
The new black-and-white imageRUNNER series adds new features to the portfolio, with the imageRUNNER 1700 series offering fast print speeds of 30ppm, 40ppm and 50ppm. Additionally the imageRUNNER 1700 series benefits from a more interactive customer experience, with an advanced touchscreen user interface for a more consistent operation with other MEAP-enabled devices in Canon’s portfolio. The imageRUNNER 1700 series also has the option of a compact staple finisher. The imageRUNNER 1100 series consists of three compact and cost-efficient 33ppm models for small workgroups with lower print volumes.
Both series offer embedded uniFLOW compatibility providing seamless integration with uniFLOW without the need for a MIND (Modular Identification Network Device) box. Compatibility with eMaintenance offers remote servicing as well as consumable management options to help customers to improve the management and serviceability of their fleet and therefore reduce print downtime.
