Make your photos last Canon’s ChromaLife100 system has evolved. With the development of new inks and new photo papers, the new system, ChromaLife100+, provides more beautiful photo prints, with enhanced longevity. The result - 300-year album life
- 30-year light fastness
- 20-year gas fastness
- Resisting heat and humidity
- Enhanced colour reproduction
Development of new dye inks and photo paper Colour fades gradually with the passage of time – both with regular silver halide photos, developed and printed from negatives, and with photos printed with an inkjet printer. This is due to the impact of gases contained in the air and light. To minimise this impact and to keep photos beautiful for many years, Canon developed ChromaLife100 in 2005. Then, in 2008, Canon worked on improving the performance of genuine inks and genuine photo papers to enhance ChromaLife100 further. As a result, new 2008 genuine dye-based inks have been developed. New photo papers – Photo Paper Plus Glossy II PP-201, Photo Paper Pro II PR-201 and Photo Paper Pro Platinum PT-101 – have also been introduced. ChromaLife100 evolves into ChromaLife100+ with new genuine dye-based inks and genuine photo papers The ChromaLife100+ system expands colour reproduction, especially in red areas. Richer and brighter colour reproduction is provided. Since the photo black ink became more neutral, the black is deeper and the vivid colours in the photograph stand out. It also improved the longevity. FINE print head + new genuine Canon dye-based inks + genuine Canon photo paper = longer-lasting, beautiful photos The dye-based inks are designed to maximise image quality and high weather-resistance when combined with PIXMA's high-performance FINE print head and Canon genuine photo paper.
