When record-enabled tape is loaded in a digital camcorder that is in the CAMERA mode, the digital camcorder turns off automatically after a certain period, in order to protect the tape against damage. When using the camera mode, preferably do not
load a tape into the digital camcorder or use a tape to which recording is disabled.

Changing the mode of the digital camcorder causes the digital camcorder to turn off momentarily, which terminates the Windows Messenger screen and audio, without resumption. If image and audio terminate, click "Stop Camera" on the video chat screen to end
video chat, and then click "Start Camera" to invite the video of your contact and restart video chat. If you are unable to restart video chat by performing the above steps, click "Stop Camera," use the Audio Tuning Wizard to check camera and
microphone settings, and then click "Start Camera."
