| Yes, as long as the router is a UPnP Internet Gateway Device (IGD). Use of a router that has bridge mode capabilities is also supported.
Even if a router is compatible with Windows Messenger, the router will not be compatible with DV Messenger if it does not meet the criteria described above. To find out if your router is a type that is compatible with DV Messenger, see the user
documentation that comes with it or contact router manufacturer. Even if you have a router that is compatible with DV Messenger, you will not be able to use it for DV Messenger operations if your ISP does not support Windows Messenger. To find out if your
line supports Windows Messenger, contact your ISP or cable provider.

Due to differences in local line congestion conditions, it impossible to make any definitive statement about line speeds. You should, however, be able to view smooth video images with a line speed of 1.5Mbit/second or greater, which is normally provided
by a broadband connection like ADSL.
