| With an analog dialup connection or ISDN dialup connection, slow line speeds can cause images and audio to be broken. For normal operation, use of an ADSL, Cable or other type of broadband connection is recommended. Even if you have an ADSL or other type of broadband connection, certain line conditions can cause images and audio to be broken. You can probably achieve normal operation by trying again during a different time frame when
lines are less crowded. The time it takes for a slow or inefficient computer to process data can cause images and audio to become broken. If you suspect this is the cause, shut down any other applications you do not need. |

DV Messenger can be used if the wireless LAN access pointer is connected to a router that is a UPnP Internet Gateway Device, or if the wireless LAN access point itself is a UPnP Internet Gateway Device. In either case, locate the UPnP Internet

| Yes, as long as the router is a UPnP Internet Gateway Device (IGD). Use of a router that has bridge mode capabilities is also supported.
Even if a router is compatible with Windows Messenger, the router will not be compatible with DV Messenger if it does not meet the criteria described above. To find out if your router is a type that is compatible with DV Messenger, see the user
documentation that comes with it or contact router manufacturer. Even if you have a router that is compatible with DV Messenger, you will not be able to use it for DV Messenger operations if your ISP does not support Windows Messenger. To find out if your
line supports Windows Messenger, contact your ISP or cable provider.

Due to differences in local line congestion conditions, it impossible to make any definitive statement about line speeds. You should, however, be able to view smooth video images with a line speed of 1.5Mbit/second or greater, which is normally provided
by a broadband connection like ADSL.
