The EOS 5D is compatible with the full range of Speedlite flash accessories. These include specialised macro flash units, powerful zoom and bounce flash units, wireless flash transmitters and slave units. To optimise white balanced compensation, some EX
series Speedlites such as the Speedlite 430EX even transfer colour temperature information to the EOS 5D.
The EOS 5D’s E-TTL II distance linked flash algorithm is compatible with all EX series Speedlites.
