Detailed Features
Superb, no fuss photographs
The beautifully finished Prima Super 180 Date has all you need to take stunning photographs. A chic aluminium-alloy cover protects Canon precision optics and advanced technologies: all working in concert to deliver great results while you focus on family, friends and fun.
Powerful zoom
An exceptionally long, powerful 4.7x zoom lens (38-180mm) lets you capture everything from a sweeping landscape to a child’s smile. When not in use, the lens retracts into a remarkably compact, lightweight and stylish body.
Easy to see, easy to use
Despite its compact size, the Prima Super 180 Date has a large, easy-to-read LCD display. At a glance, you can see all the camera settings that might be important to you.
Options - when you want
Get the most out of every shooting situation with the Prima Super 180 Date’s six clever PIC (Programmed Image Control) modes. Optimise results by matching your camera to the scene with ‘Close Up’, ‘Portrait’, ‘Night Portrait’ and ‘Action’ modes. ‘RT’ mode gives you instant response shutter control to help you capture exactly the right moment. And of course there is always the convenient ‘AUTO’ mode, for great results when you just want to turn on and start shooting. The camera can even be fired remotely via an optional RC-5 control unit – perfect for social events.
Clever technology looks after everything
Expect perfect, crisp exposures every time with zoom-linked 7-point Auto-Focus and 16-zone metering. Your prints will have a delightful corner-to-corner clarity, thanks to Canon's precision optics. A compact powerful zoom flash has a moving head, automatically following the setting of your zoom lens. Prescription glass wearers will appreciate the dioptric adjustment possibility. To help you keeping track of when you took your shots, the camera can record time and date on each picture.
