Slimmest ever wide-angle IXUS in 4 colours
Slim and discreet, at just 20mm thick, the slender Digital IXUS 120 IS slips easily into a pocket or handbag. Available in a choice of four different colours – silver, black, blue or brown – there’s an Digital IXUS 120 IS to suit every style.
Wide-angle 4.0x zoom with optical IS
The Digital IXUS 120 IS’s wide-angle lens and 4.0x optical zoom make it a practical camera, ideal for shooting landscapes and close-up portrait shots. The Optical Image Stabilizer ensures images are blur-free throughout the zoom range.
12.1 MP CCD
The Digital IXUS 120 IS’s 12.1 Megapixel CCD captures every scene in fine detail. Turn images into poster-size prints, or creatively crop images without losing detail.
Smart Auto
Smart Auto with Scene Detection Technology analyses the shooting scene and determines the settings required to get the best possible shots in a range of situations. With 22 scene types detected, great shots can be achieved in any situation.
2.7” PureColor LCD II
Frame and review shots easily with a large 2.7” PureColor LCD II. The wide viewing angle and excellent colour and contrast rendition provides a clear display, even in bright sunlight.
DIGIC 4
Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor makes the Digital IXUS 120 IS more responsive and ensures great image-quality.
Face Detection, FaceSelf-Timer & Auto Red-Eye Correction
Face Detection Technology detects faces in a shot and adjusts focus, exposure, flash settings and white balance – for optimal results and natural-looking skin tones. FaceSelf-Timer makes group photos and self-portraits easy - taking the shot when an extra face is detected in the frame. Auto Red-Eye Correction automatically corrects the red-eye effect from flash photography.
Anti-blur
The Digital IXUS 120 IS includes Canon’s blur-beating Motion Detection Technology and Servo AF/AE for accurate focus and exposure on a moving subject. Activated in Smart Auto mode, Motion Detection Technology ascertains movement of both camera and subject. The optimum ISO is then automatically set for any situation.
i-Contrast
i-Contrast ensures detail is retained in images by brightening dark areas and preventing blown-out highlights. The result is natural images with the best possible contrast.
720p HD movies
Create widescreen (16:9) movies in high definition (1280x720, 30fps), then use the mini HDMI connection for playback on HD TVs.
