A complete multi-functional device
The iR 2230 is a highly efficient secure unit that can do the work of many. With a standard copier you can just copy, but with this device you can copy and add printing, scanning, faxing and finishing capabilities as you need them.
Save space thanks to a compact design
This device’s small footprint (565mm wide), ‘all in one’ functionality and inner finisher enable you to free up valuable space normally occupied by several devices. Save even more space by placing the device in a corner: you can service it as normal from the front and right of the machine.
Cut energy bills and comply with environmental laws
Reduce running costs thanks to low energy consumption. In operation this device runs on less than 1035W, falling to below 1.5W in energy saver mode. It is also fully compliant with the EU’s Restriction on use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) legislation.
Easy to use
Connect your device to the network and print easily from your desk at the touch of a button. The user interface is also intuitive and very easy to use. Software utilities enable the administrator to easily install and manage the device, while the user can check the status of the machine before printing a document.
Protect your assets with improved security
Your device and data are protected at all times by a host of new safeguards. You can control access to the device at a group or individual level with a card or password. Use Secured Print to make sure confidential documents stay private, inputting private codes at the device to print a document. For extra security, data and documents stored on the hard disk are encrypted and automatically deleted on a scheduled basis. Traffic to and from the device is also encrypted for increased network data security.
Save time and money through automatic maintenance
E-Maintenance capabilities are built in as standard, delivering unrivalled support and faster response times. This automatic monitoring system cuts downtime and maintenance costs, with error alerts sent directly from the unit to the network administrator and the service centre.
