The Freecorder is born with the Canon HF10

HF10
Amstelveen, The Netherlands, 30 May, 2008: - This summer, Canon unleashes the ‘Freecording’ movement, designed to shake up old school ideas of camcording and attract a new breed of camcorder users: the ‘Freecorders’.

Freecording is about shooting differently and recording without rules. The Freecording movement that aims to break down the barriers associated with traditional camcorder use – that you only use them to record holidays, events or a baby’s first steps – and inspires people to simply pick up a camcorder, find a new perspective and just shoot – no matter what the occasion. Shooting a wedding?  Why not film the after-party too?

The perfect tool for Freecording is the HF10 camcorder, the latest edition to Canon’s HD range. Fitting in the palm of your hand, the HF10 is a device that packs a serious punch.

With the Canon HD camera system of lens, image sensor and processor – the HF10 shoots in the highest HD quality, capturing what you shoot just as you see it. And with its Dual Flash memory, Freecorders can shoot up to six hours on the internal 16Gb memory or shoot to removable SD card, ensuring everything can be captured in HD and then easily shared. Since Flash memory also involves no moving parts, all footage is better protected against potential knocks and bumps during action packed filming!
