EOS Cameras
The serial number is located on the bottom of the camera and is prefixed with 'No.' See image below, the serial number would be placed where the red bar is shown.
EF Lenses
The serial number is located on the barrel or the lens mount. See images below, the serial number would be placed where the red bar is shown.
Speedlites
Previous generations of Speedlites have their serial numbers stamped into the flash head without any type colouring, see image below.
Newer generations of Speedlites have their serial numbers displayed on stickers inlaid on the flash head and are usually shown in black numbers on silver/grey background box, see image below.
IXUS and PowerShot Cameras
The serial number is located on the bottom of the camera.
Camcorders
Your serial number is printed on a white sticker usually found on the bottom of the camcorder. For some models, it is located behind the battery.
PIXMA Printers and All-In-Ones
The serial number is printed on a white sticker and can be found in one of three locations depending on your product. These locations are highlighted in the three images below. Be careful to not confuse this number with the power supply serial number that can be found on the bottom of your printer.
Laser Printers and All-In-Ones
In most cases, the serial number can be found on a sticker located at the back of your printer. On some producs, the serial number is located inside your printer.
SELPHY Compact Photo Printers
The serial number is located on the bottom of the printer.
Scanners
In most cases, the serial number can be found on a sticker located at the back of your scanner. On some of the thinnest models, the serial number can be located on the bottom of the product.
Projectors
The serial number on all projectors is located on the base of the unit on the label where all other certification and numbering is located. On XEED models, it is the combination of letters and numbers beneath the long barcode. On LV models, it is the combination of letters and numbers in the relevant box marked “Serial Number”.
Binoculars
The serial number is located at the bottom of the binocular main body (on the battery door for IS models).
Calculators
Serial numbers for Printing Calculators can be located on the rating label of the product, and on the top cover of the packaging. Serial numbers do not apply for all other products outside of this category.
Network Cameras
The serial number is located on the base of the unit. It is the combination of letters and numbers in the relevant box marked “Serial Number”.
