· Canon to help organisations reduce costs and improve productivity through the effective management of their business documents
· Canon MDS proposition to be standardised and deployed in all regions globally
· Proposition tailored at a local level, to reflect market and customer needs
Canon MDS will enable organisations to achieve significant cost savings and improvements in workforce productivity through the professional management and operation of their document processes via a unique package of services and management softwares. Canon MDS will enable the offices and Centralised Reprographics Departments (CRDs) to effectively manage their print output and deploy additional services including the management of document security, scanning and workflow, as well as providing measures to help limit their environmental impact.
The launch of Canon MDS will introduce a standard, global proposition offering multi-national organisations the opportunity to access the same high-quality services across all countries and regions. Canon MDS is designed to be tailored at a local level, to reflect market conditions and specific customer needs. Organisations can be confident that they will have access to a proposition which capitalises on Canon’s global expertise, while at the same time reflecting their local needs.
Managed Document Services utilises Canon’s expertise around print and its successful Managed Print Services (MPS) infrastructure, which was launched across Europe and globally in 2008. The introduction of Canon MDS provides additional document and imaging services with the same level of support and expertise.
“Organisations increasingly understand the benefits that can be achieved by outsourcing the management of their print or full document services to a specialist third party,” said Adam Gillbe, European Strategic Marketing Manager, Canon Europe Business Solutions. “The management of document input, output and workflow is an effective way to lower print costs, heighten productivity and improve the security of business-critical information. Our customers are increasingly seeing the value Canon can contribute to their enterprise in addition to print.”
The roll-out of Canon MDS will be driven by significant investment from Canon for the development of tools, infrastructure and education programmes to support the unified global service.
The new professional service will be launched in Europe and North America, and successively expanded to Japan, Asia, Oceania, and to the rest of the world.
