London, UK, 3 September 2015 – Canon Europe, world-leader in imaging solutions, today announces the addition of two new compact portable projectors to its successful LV range. Weighing just 2.5kg, these models offer improved connectivity options and are designed to produce exceptionally bright, clear images.
The new LV models – the LV-WX320 and the LV-X320 – are ideal for applications in classrooms as well as presentations in smaller meeting rooms, offices and open-plan areas. The new devices offer improved brightness, featuring 3,200 lumens, with up to 6,000 hours of lamp life and stunning contrast with ratios of 10000:1 in both models, enabling engaging installations, even in bright, ambient environments.
“These new devices are designed with ease-of-use for our customers in mind, offering improved portability and flexibility in a wide variety of scenarios,” said Andreas Herrnböck, European Business Development Manager Projector, Visual Communications, Canon Europe. “Each of the new models is ‘filter free’ meaning that the expense and inconvenience of air filter replacement can now be avoided. Running costs are also reduced by the new long-life projection lamp and our improved connectivity options mean that any smartphone or tablet that’s MHL ready can be quickly and easily connected for seamless transition between presenters.”
Both projectors feature a high-quality digital light projection (DLP) engine, featuring ‘BrilliantColor™’ technology, meaning that rich colours are made possible by the inclusion of a six-segment colour wheel. Cyan and yellow segments are included, which dramatically boost the saturation level, avoiding the dull, lifeless colours which are often associated with other DLP models.
The LV-WX320 and LV-W320 will be available in Europe from Q4 2015.
