Canon Europe appoints Patrick Chapuis as Head of Production Printing Group

LONDON, 11 December 2012 – Canon Europe, world-leader in imaging solutions, today announced the appointment of Patrick Chapuis as Head of its newly established Production Printing Group, reporting to Rokus van Iperen, President and CEO, Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa. The appointment is effective from 1 January, 2013.

Canon has identified business solutions and professional services as important areas for future growth, and the new Production Printing Group has been established to build upon the strengths of the combined Canon and Océ business throughout EMEA.

“We are focused on seizing the opportunities we see for accelerated growth in solutions and services,” said Rokus van Iperen, President & CEO, Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Patrick Chapuis has a wealth of experience in the global IT and production printing industries, and I am confident he will play a key role in driving our strategy to deliver future growth.”

As Head of the Production Printing Group, Chapuis will lead the areas of commercial print, wide format printing and business services for Canon Europe. He is returning to Europe from the USA, where he served as President and CEO of Océ North America. He simultaneously held the role of President of the Wide Format Printing Systems division of Océ North America, which he led since 2004.

Before his time in the USA, Chapuis was Business Manager, Wide Format Printing Solutions division, Océ France. He began his career at IBM France and he has held senior positions in Europe and France for NRG France (a Ricoh group company), Kodak Office Imaging and Danka Office Imaging.
