Hubert Bro appointed as CEO of I.R.I.S. Group

LONDON, September 7, 2015 – Canon Europe, leader in imaging solutions, today announces that Hubert Bro has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Canon Group company I.R.I.S., the document management solutions provider.

Bro brings to I.R.I.S. a unique understanding of both the print and business service industries, as well as broad experience of Canon’s structure and methodology having worked for Canon France for 28 years and Canon Europe for four years.

The appointment will continue to drive collaboration between Canon’s European sales channel and I.R.I.S. to develop new powerful information management solutions at the same time as reinforcing its market position as a trusted independent technology partner in the wider industry. Bro’s experience and expertise will also enable him to build closer synergies with Canon’s research and development and sales teams.

Bro replaces Pierre de Muelenaere as CEO, following Pierre’s successful tenure from founding the company in 1987 to overseeing operations in nine countries and selling solutions to more than 90 countries around the world.

“We thank Pierre for his fantastic achievements at I.R.I.S., in particular in overseeing significant sales increases and the smooth expansion beyond Europe into the USA, APAC and Australia,” comments Rokus van Iperen, President and CEO, Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Under Hubert’s leadership, we look forward to seeing the continued success of I.R.I.S. as we expand our solutions and services business and maximise opportunities to integrate I.R.I.S. solutions further with Canon.”

Canon announced the acquisition of I.R.I.S Group SA in February 2013. Under Hubert Bro, I.R.I.S. will continue to operate as an independent organisation within the Canon Group.
