NEW PRODUCT: NEW Canon HJ17ex6.2B PREMIUM, NOT YOUR STANDARD STANDARD

Canon’s new standard lens offers superb optical performance through the whole focal range, is light weight and has an extra wide angle. In fact, with the widest lens in the Standard lens class, a focal length of 6.2-106mm and a shorter MOD, this is the new ’Premium Standard’ 2/3” HD camera lens.

Wider and closer shots are a frequent requirement in the Electronic News Gathering (ENG) sector. However, more often than not, the need is in a  restricted environment where lens changing is impractical. With the widest focal length in the Standard lens class, the HJ17ex6.2B provides the flexibility that allows the shot to be captured when working with just one lens.

For extra flexibility – a shorter MOD

The new HJ17ex6.2B. has an MOD (Minimum Object Distance) of 0.4m. This provides even more flexibility in close-up interview situations or in closer object shooting.

High resolution and control

The HJ17ex6.2B benefits from Canon’s Optical Design expertise. The lens is designed to deliver superb optical performance from tele to wide and near to far and provide high resolution and contrast at any object distance.

Ergonomically Innovative

The innovative digital drive unit has been designed to improve operability and reduce fatigue, especially over extended shooting periods. Ergonomical and user friendly, the unit is made to fit the human hand, is comfortable to hold and easy to handle.

The HD broadcast benchmark

With the demand for HD content, HD Broadcasting is in a constant state of transition. With the introduction of the new Canon HJ17ex6.2B IRSDE HDTV Standard lens for 2/3” cameras, Canon continue to meet and exceed, the demands of all concerned: viewers, broadcasters and operators.
