3-Dimensional Colour Correction
For unprecedented colour reproduction and accuracy, 3-Dimensional Colour Correction faithfully reproduces a document's colour information. The end result is superior colour quality, plus enhanced readability for OCR scanning applications.

Automatic Size & Deskew
Wasting time sorting your documents before scanning? Automatic size checks the size of each fed document and ensures properly sized images for each page and deskew automatically straightens out the scanned image.
Automatic Colour Detection
Allows the scanner to automatically determine which documents of a mixed batch should be saved in colour, based on detected colour content. No need to separate black-and-white and colour documents file sizes are dramatically reduced as a result.
Automatic Colour Dropout
Red, green or blue can be removed from document images for improved readability in OCR applications and also for reduced file-storage size.
Contact Image Sensors (CIS) are optical sensors used in document scanners to capture the document image. CIS sesnor technology benefits include sharper images and less image distortion, with better text readability for enhanced OCR accuracy.
The 3-Dimensional Colour Correction function faithfully reproduces a document’s colour information using an incorporated colour conversion chip to pinpoint the exact RGB coordinates in one process.
Daily Duty Cycle
The duty cycle is the manufacturer's suggested maximum usage level per day for a scanner. You should choose a scanner with a daily duty cycle that exceeds your current production needs to ensure a longer life for your scanner. You should also ensure you take into account any peak volume periods during the month.
Scans both sides of a document in one pass scanning path operation.
Double Feed Release
This function is useful for user to check if the double feed detected is actually a double feed or a special document such as envelope. If a document double feed is detected during scanning, document feeding stops with the dobule fed document at the paper exit.
Then the DFR button illuminates. Also, the [Rapid Recovery System] screen appears to prompt you to select whether to continue scanning. If push the DFR button, saves the displayed image and scans the rest of the document.
Users can “scan as you see them”, with this capability, DR-C125 scans documents from top page but reads the image from the bottom. By rotating images automatically with 180゜, images are presented with proper orientation and order.
Full Auto Mode
Full Auto Mode applies the best settings on each scanned image according to our unique algorithm. The following settings are applied – Auto Colour Detection, Auto Document Size, Auto Resolution, Skip Blank Page, Deskew and Text Orientation.
Canon’s unique J-path approach to a footprint saving scanner functionality allows vertical infeed and vertical out-feed functionality on the DR-C125.
The option of previewing a scanned document before completing a scan can be helpful to ensure data isn’t captured erroneously or duplicated unnecessarily.
Image resolution describes the detail an image holds. The term applies equally to digital images, film images and other types of images. Higher resolution means more image detail but also often means a higher file storage size. The scanning speed of a document scanner will more than likely decrease as you increase the resolution setting.
If double feed has occurred, “Separation Retry” function returns the document to the document feeder and re-feeds the pages. Even when the double feed occurs, the scanner can solve the problem by itself and resume scanning.
Refers to scanning when only capturing one side of the document.
Skip Blank Page
Useful when scanning batches that include single-sided and double-sided documents mixed together, this function automatically removes blank pages from the image data, which leads to smaller file sizes as a result.
The scanners offers two Text Enhancement scanning modes you can use to get clearer, more legible black and white images from documents with hardto-scan elements. Each mode should be selected according to document type.
Text Orientation Recognition
Perfect for scanning batches of documents that are facing different directions, this feature recognises the text orientation of each fed document and rotates the scanned images accordingly.
Thin Paper Mode
Feeding speed slows down to transport thin document gently to prevent from any damages (available on DR-M160).
|Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection
Ultrasonic sensors detect the gap between over-lapping pages and prevent multiple pages from being fed together, ensuring that each page of a document is scanned.
|U-Turn / Straight Path Feeding
For enhanced efficiency and flexible scanning of a range of documents, including plastic cards and thick documents, certain scanner models feature a straight paper path in addition to the standard U-Turn path.
