A market wide-open with opportunity

As with every industry, the wide format market faces a number of challenges arising from economic uncertainty in Europe. For quick-thinking print providers though, these challenges can be opportunities.

Whether they’re ordering display graphics or large format photographs, print buyers aren’t always looking for the cheapest option available. They want application versatility, obviously high quality and value for money.

The print providers who are going to do best will be those who find ways to deliver a wide range of value-added applications with optimum print quality cost-effectively, and those who show their customers how application versatility can meet their objectives. Print providers who can suggest innovative alternatives to the applications that the customer is already familiar with will, over time, make themselves essential advisors.

That’s why at FESPA in London this year we’ll be working to inspire print providers with ideas for innovative applications and new ways of working by using an applications gallery and a large number of customer success stories to provide inspiration to visitors.

2013 is an exciting year for Canon and in particular for Canon’s Wide Format Group. With the integration of Océ, Canon now boasts one of the broadest wide format portfolios in the industry. This ability to offer customers equipment, software solutions and imaging supplies that meet every need places us in an ideal position to help them identify opportunities to grow their businesses. That’s what we’ll be focusing on doing at FESPA in June.
