The CXDI-501C shows its particular strength where precision, sensitivity and maximum flexibility are required. Therefore we have made it lighter and thinner for more portable freedom in your everyday workflow. The highly sensitive caesium iodide (CsI) scintillator guarantees diagnostic images of the highest quality, with the lowest possible radiation exposure for your patient. This makes the CXDI-501C ideal for pediatric and orthopedic use. With its large 350 x 426 mm imaging area the CXDI-501C accommodates a wide range of examinations, including skull, spine, chest, abdomen and extremities.
A second glance underlines the economic versatility of the CXDI-501C. With its new dimensions the unit is ideal for retrofitting. The detector fits directly into existing Bucky trays already in use for cassettes, for example 460 x 460 mm cassette trays, and can be aligned to the compartment’s centre lines and sensor units. We have also placed significant emphasis on flexible cable routing and on detachable sensor cables. This saves valuable time – for mobile transport and for easy installation
To significantly improve the performance of the CXDI 501C we have opted for a second-generation glass substrate, with a pixel pitch of 125 μm / 9.6 megapixels. This ensures superior image quality with a reasonable lower dose.
An on screen preview image is available in just 3 seconds after exposure. If another exposure is required, the detector will be ready in seconds thanks to its fast refresh cycle.
The CXDI-501C offers the benefits of true portability with a detachable sensor cable for time-effective transport and simple installation. The detachable cable option also allows you to use this sensor between different rooms and mobile systems.

The CXDI-501C Digital Radiography System uses the Canon CXDI Control Software NE. The intuitive operation of this software gives a wide range of selections directly from the main menu and yet images can be taken within three touches. The optimized workflow reduces current operation steps and supports multiple study acquisition. The software delivers high-resolution images, generator communication* for preset x-ray parameters, provides actual exposure factors and patient dose information in the DICOM header. Three levels of access can be set for various users. Along with supporting Program Mode, the software complies with HIPAA standards and is IHE compliant.
MLT(S) image processing utilizes multi frequencies to emphasize on details and edges. In combination with the appropriate dynamic range and Canon’s advanced noise reduction processing images show subtle details like lung tissue or trabecular bone structure together with soft tissue in high diagnostic accuracy. These parameters can be preset in our dedicated body parts for repeatability and adjusted post-acquisition for variances in diagnostic requirements.
Amorphous Silicon (a-Si) Flat Panel Sensor (LANMIT®) consists of a precision amorphous silicon metal-insulator semiconductor (MIS) sensor and Thin Film Transistor (TFT) array. LANMIT® flat panel sensors produce a highly stable output signal. The result is a family of reliable and durable sensors that provide the highest quality images without the time and costs involved with film or cassette handling. A 14-bit analog-to-digital conversion process converts the raw image to digital form producing a high-resolution, high-contrast 4,096 grayscale image.
Ethernet 10/100/1000 Base T connectivity with DICOM 3.0 compatibility enables seamless data transfer to any DICOM hard copy output device, PACS, or HIS/RIS for efficient printing, archiving, and remote viewing of images. The system complies with IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) standards for interoperability to ensure easy, effective integration with the hospital network.
