    CANON iMAGE GATEWAY Account Update

As of the 6th August 2014 some essential changes are being made to our CANON iMAGE GATEWAY service and you will need to log into your CANON iMAGE GATEWAY account at the earliest opportunity for the changes to take effect.

When you next log in, we will automatically create a new dedicated account specifically for all CANON iMAGE GATEWAY related services such as Online Photo Album (OPA), Wi-Fi camera setup and Canon OPA smartphone app. Your current Canon iD account (which you may have known as My Canon or You Connect) will still remain active with your old details and will be unaffected by these changes.

Please follow the two simple steps below to create your dedicated account. It should only take a few minutes, and we recommend that you take action as soon as possible:-

    1. Log in to the new CANON iMAGE GATEWAY using your current existing email address and password.

    2. Follow the brief steps to read and accept the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy of the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY service.

That’s it - your dedicated CANON iMAGE GATEWAY account is now created. From this point you will then have two separate accounts as below. Your login details for both accounts will initially be the same but any subsequent changes you make to one will not affect the other:-

    • Your CANON iMAGE GATEWAY login

    • Your existing Canon iD login is used for other Canon services such as the Online Store, irista and managing your Canon profile for product registration or newsletters.

If you do not log in within a 365 day period we will assume that you no longer require your CANON iMAGE GATEWAY account and it will be closed meaning you will lose of all your stored images.

Next, you will need to re-initiate the connection between CANON iMAGE GATEWAY and your web services so that you can continue to share your images on the internet straight from your camera or camcorder. Don’t worry - all the sharing settings for these services will be preserved.

If you have configured Image Sync or Send via Server this connection will also need to be re-initiated.

Please select one of the tabs below to view the instructions on how to complete this process.

If one of the error messages show below appears on your camera please follow the instructions below to re-initiate the connection between your Wi-Fi camera and web services. Even if the camera message is ‘Connect to a computer, use the supplied software to reset' this can all be done directly through the website without connecting the camera to a computer  -
