Insight and inspiration at Canon for Business

In May 2014, 2,600 Canon customers were invited to visit Canon for Business. The unique event was designed exclusively for Canon customers, with a view to helping them develop ideas and new opportunities for business growth. Hosted at the company’s facility in Poing, Germany, Canon for Business gave visitors a unique opportunity to experience everything Canon has on offer to help them deliver more to existing customers and win new ones.

The results of Canon’s 2014 Insight Report were shared for the first time at the event, helping visitors to better understand the needs of print buyers and how to enhance their service offerings to meet customers’ expectations and requirements. Visitors attended seminars covering topics ranging from marketing for printers through to multi-media opportunities, all of which were aimed at giving PSPs ideas for the future. Keynote speakers included customers who shared their success stories and spoke about their experiences of the market, creating a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas.

In addition to insight and inspiration, the event also offered visitors the chance to touch and try the new technologies that were unveiled exclusively at the event, while a series of support tools developed to maximise uptime and productivity were also on hand for visitors to try out. Canon also introduced its new online portal Digital Dimensions, as well as giving customers the opportunity to discover how their businesses could benefit from the Essential Business Builder Program and the Business and Innovation Scans for both Graphic Arts and In-house print environments.

Canon’s new digital colour cutsheet imagePRESS C800 series was launched at the event, along with two new continuous feed presses – the Océ ImageStream 3500 and Océ VarioStream 4000. Visitors were also given an exclusive virtual demonstration of ‘Project Niagara’, Canon’s latest inkjet technology that aims to bridge the gap between Canon’s high-end imagePRESS and entry-level continuous feed technology.
