Flagship 100 ppm imagePRESS C10000VP sets new standards in image quality and productivity

Designed to meet increasing demand from both commercial and in-house print service providers (PSPs) for higher production volumes without compromising on quality, Canon has introduced the imagePRESS C10000VP – the company’s first 100 page-per-minute colour digital print engine.

Building on the success of the imagePRESS range, which has seen more than 40,000 installations worldwide since its launch in 2006*, the new flagship model combines new features with proven technology. The imagePRESS C10000VP sets new standards in image quality and productivity by enhancing throughput, ensuring reliably consistent colour and more accurate registration control and delivering flexible media handling and finishing.

Capable of speeds of up to 100 impressions per minute, irrespective of media weight from 70 to 350gsm, the imagePRESS C10000VP maintains productivity even on long-run or mixed media jobs.

Offering 2,400 x 2,400 dpi print resolution, the device uses Consistently Vivid toner, offering improved transfer efficiency and a lower fixing temperature – delivering vibrant image quality even on textured media. Additionally, a new developer unit maintains colour consistency, ensuring stable output even over long runs.

Finishing options include a new professional puncher, supporting a greater range of media sizes, and a new inline creasing functionality. A choice of digital front end controllers – Canon’s PRISMAsync or the new EFI Fiery FS200 – enables PSPs to select the right RIP and controller to streamline their workflow.

PSPs can achieve ‘right-first-time’ output with a second transfer belt that improves control over registration, as well as new Simple Registration Control technology, to maximise productivity by enabling more efficient registration adjustments.

Mark Lawn, European Professional Print Director, Canon Europe comments:

Through Canon’s continuous innovation in the imagePRESS range, the devices have been instrumental in allowing customers to exploit the growth in the colour production market. This new model now heads a formidable line-up and further demonstrates Canon’s ongoing commitment to addressing customer demand.
