The drupa 2024 showcase
Commercial Print
At drupa 2024, we reaffirmed our commitment to commercial print. We displayed the latest digital print technologies and shared how our automated, end-to-end solutions deliver the efficiency, flexibility, and quality you need for sustainable growth. From live examples of how we support print service providers in identifying new business opportunities, to defining matching strategies and business models, and even how to select tailored workflow and press technologies to accelerate your digital transformation, we provided a roadmap to success.
Publishing
Books are the second largest and fastest growing digital print application in a rapidly changing media landscape. That’s why, from inkjet to toner or web-fed to sheet-fed, our entire range of technology for digital book printing took centre stage at drupa ‘24. We shared how integrated book production workflows transform traditional book supply chains into more efficient, sustainable, and demand-driven processes.
Promotional Communications
As customer experience becomes the new competitive battlefield for businesses today, both online and offline promotional communications count. During drupa ’24, we explained how we drive innovation, with cut-through print in marketing alongside business communications that enhance the omnichannel experience. Our Creative Futures exhibition illustrated how market collaboration and end-to-end solutions enable growth and prepare businesses for the future.
Labels & Packaging
From versatile, vibrant label designs produced with sustainable water-based inks, to customised, short-run display and packaging outputs, our drupa ‘24 stand brought the future of label and packaging print to life. We shared cutting-edge technology, including the first demonstration of the LabelStream LS2000 state-of-the-art digital label press, sure to leave a lasting impact.
In-House Print Production
We showed how bespoke solutions provide the foundation for proactive evolution and growth, responding to the need for constant and progressive adaptation. Our integrated software, printing and finishing workflows provide opportunities for further automation with associated time and cost savings, all enabling orders to be scheduled and fulfilled quickly and efficiently, with minimal requirement for outsourcing, and optimal value retained in-house.
CAD Printing
Visitors to the CAD Printing area on our stand experienced how the latest colorWAVE, plotWAVE and imagePROGRAF devices are used across colour and large format technical printing applications. Through the example of a fictitious cycling brand, we showed how our CAD printing solutions offer precision and colour integrity across a range of different media types and weights, both large and small format. And can be applied on projects from technical drawings and colourful posters to maps and wall planners.
Interior design
Our drupa stand highlighted a range of innovative print applications, including examples of how Canon customers have used digitally printed décor, from floors and wallpapers to furniture and glass embellishments. With the Colorado UVgel and new Arizona 2300 FLXflow printers, along with PRISMAelevate XL, users can produce stunning and varied output – including on metallic and textured materials. We even demonstrated our new sustainable wallpaper made from recycled media. Meanwhile, the new imagePROGRAF PRO and GP series brought high quality photo and fine art applications to life.
