Blending craftsmanship and technology

With the Canon Arizona and PRISMAelevate XL solutions, the Vicenza based company strengthens its presence in the relief printing sector, combining artisan tradition and technological innovation to offer increasingly customised and accessible products.

For over a hundred years, Incisoria Vicentina has stood out for its ability to combine passion, artisanal expertise, and cutting-edge technology. Thanks to its solid experience and a team of young talents, the company offers customised engraving solutions such as plaques, stamps and tactile maps, offering a comprehensive and personalised service for every need and sector, from the choice of materials to the most complex processes and the final design. The use of state-of-the-art machinery allows it to perform precision work on materials such as wood, plexiglass, cardboard, and aluminum.

We needed to make a further leap in quality. We began researching machines that offered the features and performance necessary for our projects. Canon stood out not only for its print quality, but also for its philosophy, which we share: helping to make the world a little more accessible for everyone.”

Tactile maps with braille

The company also holds an international patent for the production of tactile maps with Braille, the result of research by Massimo Treu and Luciano Marzi. Recognised by the Italian Union of the Blind, this patent established Incisoria Vicentina as a national leader in the field. A second patent covers photoluminescent plates and tactile maps, designed to ensure safety even during blackouts. This is a major step forward in accessible security.

In 2024, seeking to strengthen its capabilities in relief printing, Incisoria Vicentina chose Canon as its ideal partner.

Cooperation with Canon

To further enhance its creative and tactile printing capabilities, Incisoria Vicentina integrated the Canon Arizona 1360 GTF with PRISMAelevate XL software into its production.

The Arizona’s renowned versatility and precision enable the team to print on a vast range of rigid and flexible material, even irregular shapes, while FLXflow technology ensures effortless handling of both heavy and delicate substrates.

With PRISMAelevate XL, the company can now produce richly textured prints with up to 4 mm elevation, adding depth and tactile impact to every project. This capability opens new possibilities for Braille signage, decorative panels, custom packaging and art reproductions combining beauty with accessibility.

By adopting Canon’s advanced printing technologies, Incisoria Vicentina has expanded its creative offering, delivering projects that stand out for their innovation, customisation and inclusive design.
