Profiting from changing market conditions

Severn, a print supplier in Gloucester, was the first UK company to install the Canon varioPRINT iX2100. Book printing and publishing services comprise about a quarter of Severn’s business, with the rest coming from commercial printing and mailing services. After purchasing a ColorStream 3900 continuous feed printer and a VarioPrint i300 sheetfed printer, Severn acquired 70 new publishing customers and grew its business by 50% between 2017 and 2020.

As a result of this success, Severn decided to invest in the varioPRINT iX2100 sheetfed press to diversify its offering. In this video, Louisa Evans, Head of Marketing, explains the changes in the market and why Severn is investing in inkjet technology.
